The Liebster Award

Hello there! How is everyone’s summer going so far?

I was nominated by the lovely Arabella from Sparks of Ara for the Liebster Award! Thank you SO SO much! Definitely go check out her blog if you haven’t already! 🙂

Let’s get to it, shall we?

  1. Link back to the person who nominated you.
  2. Display the award.
  3. Answer the eleven questions that the person who nominated you provided.
  4. Give eleven random facts about yourself.
  5. Nominate eleven other bloggers.
  6. Ask eleven questions of your choice for your nominees to answer.

-The Questions-

Who is your favorite Marvel superhero and why?

Gee, this is a hard question. I’d have to say it’s a tie between Loki and Spider-Man (AKA Peter Parker. AKA Tom Holland. AKA HE’S MINE LADIES. BACK UP.) Spider-Man because he’s so relatable (and because he’s a precious bean). Loki because I find his mischief hilarious. XD

What Hogwarts house are you in and why?

I’m in Ravenclaw most likely because I’m pretty studious. haha yeah right

If you could spend one day hanging out with one character in a book you’re writing or wrote (or for those of you who aren’t writers, a book you’ve read), who would it be and why?

I’m gonna go with a character from a book I’ve read because I find them more interesting than my own characters. I would have to choose Keefe from KOTLC because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN THE GREAT GULON INCIDENT. ahem

Out of all the superpowers out there, which one would you want to have? And why?

Argh this is hardddd. I’m gonna say invisibility because then I could pull some pretty epic pranks on my family. >:)

What inspired you to start your blog?

I originally started my first blog a few years ago as part of my schooling, but took a break for a few years because I didn’t really enjoy it. I started blogging again this year after doing more research to prepare myself as well as reading some blogs that inspired me to start a clean slate on blogging. Some of the blogs that inspired me to start blogging again were Clara & CO, Charis Rae, A Barefoot Gal, A Farm Girl’s Life, and Anika Walkes. Some of you may not know me, but I wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration!

What is a book or book series that you would recommend to anyone?

Cinder by Marissa Meyer.

The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

If you could go into your own world that you wrote or are writing (or for non-writers, a world you read), where would you go to first and why?

I would go to the world of Keeper of the Lost Cities and the first place I’d visit would be Foxfire. totally haven’t been daydreaming about this

What food do you absolutely LOVE the most, and what food do you loathe to the ends of the earth?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese and sushi. I LOATHE stuffing. NO THANK YOU.

Which of the four seasons (summer, spring, fall, winter) is your favorite and why?

Either summer or winter! Both because of all the fun activities that go on! Swimming, bike rides, going to the beach, and tree climbing in the summer. Ice skating, CHRISTMAS, snowball fights, and hot chocolate during the winter.

What is the biggest goal you have in life right now?

Stay alive. Get through high school and start saving for college.

What is the one thing you love doing most in life?

Spending time with my family and puppy and reading. 🙂

-Eleven Random Facts-

  1. I’ve been homeschooled my entire life. and yes I have friends and have been out of the house and get up early.
  2. I have a weird obsession with stationery.
  3. I love photography.
  4. I own one adorable black lab pup.
  5. I’m trying to convince my family that we need a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for our next dog.
  6. I love strawberry rhubarb fry pies. if anyone wants to donate some to me, i won’t be opposed
  7. I’m a total clutz.
  8. I’ve broken three bones and have been in 4+ casts.
  9. I’ve been in 4+ sports.
  10. I’m running out of facts.
  11. I still sleep with stuffed animals. 😉

To those I nominate for this tag, please do not feel obliged to do this tag.

(I wanted to nominate bloggers I hadn’t before, so I didn’t have eleven to nominate. If I didn’t tag you, feel free to participate! I’d love to see your posts. 🙂 )

Hannah @ The Striped Plaid

Emmie @ American Girl World

Olivia @ Purely Olivia

Clara @ Clara & Co

Genni, Menni, and Enni @ Yes, We’re Insane

-My Questions-

If you could go back in time, what era would you go to?

Your house is on fire. What are the first three items you would take with you?

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If you could meet any person from the present, who would it be?

What is your favorite thing about summer?

How would you describe your style?

What is your fondest memory?

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you choose?

You can only read two books the rest of your life. Which do you choose?

What is your favorite quote?

Thank you again Arabella for nominating me for this tag! This was loads of fun! 🙂

Until next time!

Summer Bucket List

Hey guys!

I love making bucket lists and goals (even if sometimes I don’t always make those goals XD). So I decided to share some of my summer goals for 2019!

Read 10 Books

If you didn’t already know I’m a total bookworm! Even though this isn’t a very big goal, I felt like setting a goal that was a bit more achievable (hopefully :P).

The 10 books I definitely want to read this summer are:

  1. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
  2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
  3. Flashback by Shannon Messenger
  4. The War Within by Cecelia Schmidt
  5. A Night Divided by Jennifer A. Nielsen
  6. Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe
  7. The War’s End by Cecelia Schmidt
  8. 1984 by George Orwell
  9. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  10. The Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling

See an air show

Every summer my mom and I have mentioned that we wanted to see an air show, but never got around to it. So hopefully this will be our year! XD

Pull an all-nighter

I’ve always thought about doing something like this with friends at a sleepover but always chicken out. I’m going to try but I’m not going to make any promises because trust me when I say I’m not pleasant when I’m tired. 😛

Go to a drive-in

I absolutely LOVEEEEEEE the drive-in theater! We go pretty much every summer so I hope we go again this year! 🙂

Host a cookout

Who doesn’t love good food and fun outdoor activities with family and friends?

Go to Cedar Point

I haven’t been to Cedar Point in 2 years and I’ve heard they’ve built a ton of new rides! I really want to go try them out! 😀

Maybe I’ll try to get some neat photos for you guys? 😉

Go berry picking

Gain right leg splits and needle

I already have my left leg splits but my right leg splits are reallyyyyyyy bad XD. I’m closer at achieving a needle than I am my right leg splits.

Catch fireflies

When I was younger I would get so freaked out by fireflies, but now I love them! To me when I see fireflies for the first time in a year it signals the start of summer. 🙂

Go hiking

My family and I did a lot of hiking trails a few years ago, so I definitely want to pick up on that again this summer!

Finish planning my novel plot

Over the school year I started planning my characters and story-line for my novel, but got really stuck on the plot. If anyone has any tips for pushing through that “lovely” writer’s block, I would super duper appreciate it if you would let me know in the comments section below! 🙂

Write a fairy-tale retelling

I’m entering into a writing contest at my local library and thought it would be cool to try writing a fairytale retelling. The trick is finding a good story that hasn’t been used too often though… Haha wish me luck!

Go camping

I’m not sure if my family will be able to go camping this year to be quite honest. We just got a puppy this year and we’re a little concerned about leaving him at home. Maybe we’ll do some backyard camping though!

Learn new friendship bracelet patterns

I know the basics of how to weave friendship bracelets, but after seeing some really cool patterns on Pinterest I want to try them out!

Get a job

I definitely want to get a job this summer so I can start saving for a car and college so I don’t have to pressure or rely on my parents to pay for everything for me. Wish me luck! XD

Participate in a summer blog contest

I’ve already signing up for Clara’s Boredom Games contest so I’m very excited for that! If you haven’t already signed up for or heard about this contest check out her blog post >HERE<. Signups should still be open! 🙂

See fireworks

I love the fireworks my area hosts for the 4th of July! Do you go see fireworks within your area?

That’s all for my summer bucket list! Wish me luck on accomplishing these goals! ;D

Until next time,

What are your summer goals?

Day in the Life of a Dancer + Poll

*future me banging my head against the computer screen*

So before I start this post I have a bit of a storytime.

If you are a blogger you know how wonderful it feels to have a well-written post completed, right? You feel so accomplished and proud of the work put into it.

That’s exactly what I felt like. Until I turned my computer off….

And somehow didn’t press save….

So when I turned my computer back on to do some last minute editing…

The internet was out..

And I reloaded the page..

My beautiful creation was gone.

So here I am again, typing away trying to make up for lost time.

Current time: 10:53 p.m. (5/27/19)

Current brain cell(s) remaining: 0

So I am going to apologize now if this isn’t the best-written post ever, because I will probably be up writing this until 1am.

Now here is where I make a friendly introduction and pretend none of this happened…

Welcome back to my blog!

I’m sorry I’ve been absent these past two weeks. I’ve been CRAZY busy between school and after school activities, so it was hard to write some posts. But, I’m gonna make up for that with this extra long post. 😉

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE reading “Day in my Life” posts.

So I decided to write my own with a little twist.

If you have read my Welcome to my Blog post or my About page, you would know that I’m a dancer! So imma show you what my day is like during days I have dance classes.

I have classes Mondays and Wednesdays. Mondays I have one class and Wednesdays I have two classes back to back (making it a 3 hour session >:P), so I’ve decided to base this post on my Wednesday routines since it is a more event-filled day.

Let’s get to it!

I start my day off at 7:30 am (Or at least I try to. Sometimes I end up getting up at 8:30ish instead because I’m a bad little bean x3). The first thing I do in my blurry-eyed daze is take my little pupper outside to use the restroom if nobody is already up and has taken him out. And then I snuggle his wittle’ head because he is so cuteeeee. *already acknowledging how I sound like the crazy dog lady*

After my doggo decides he’d rather chew on his slobber covered bone than deal with my smothering, I go get dressed and start my beauty routine.

For my outfit, I get right into my dance clothes. I wear the typical leotard and tights, but my studio requires us to wear a t-shirt and a pair of shorts over top for modesty.

My beauty routine on dance days is pretty basic. I just wash my face, brush my teeth, and curl my eyelashes. That’s it! 😀

As for my hair, I usually just wear it in a bun. My studio requires us to wear buns on Mondays and then we can wear our hair however we want on Wednesdays as long as our hair is out of our faces. I personally prefer just wearing buns because it’s just convenient. 🙂

Here’s how I do my bun:

  1. I pull my hair into a ponytail.
  2. Braid the ponytail.
  3. Wrap the ponytail around my head until I have the desired bun.
  4. Secure with hair pins, hair ties, and scrunchies.

Once I’m properly awake I get straight into my schoolwork. I start dance at 12:45 so I try to use up as much time as possible.

Somewhere between smothering my dog and starting my schoolwork, I try to read my morning Bible plan. I’ll admit: I am absolutely terrible about remembering to do this. But, alas I am not perfect and am trying to get better at making it my main focus in the mornings! 🙂

Now you may be asking, “Saege what about breakfast?” or maybe you aren’t and want me to shut up and continue with the post. Either way, I’m gonna be honest. I usually don’t eat breakfast.

*insert sitcom gasps here*

I know I know, not the healthiest choice, especially being in such a strenuous sport (I can hear my dance teacher’s disappointment from here). I’ve never eaten much of a breakfast unless my mom makes me 1) choke down some food or else (I’m just joking please don’t take me seriously o.o) or 2) grab something small like a banana or clementine. More often it’s the latter.

I end school roughly around noon. Check out my post >HERE< to find out how to finish your schoolwork quickly and effectively with a compilation of the things I’ve tried and tested with myself. (Shameless plug am I right? XD)

So now is the part of my day where I madly rush around to grab lunch, pack my dance bag, and fill my water bottle.

For lunch, it’s usually leftovers from yesterday’s dinner or previous dinners (Unless my mom makes lunch before I get done with my schoolwork. Thank you Mom! <3)

My dance bag for the most part is already pre-packed. I use my old swim team bag, because it is so big and has so much storage space for all of my dance supplies. The only things I have to put in my bag are my slides, water bottle, and my phone.

Now it’s out the door and off to dance!

The first thing we do in class is sit around our teacher in a circle and recite our ASL Bible Verse. Every session we practice and learn a new verse to recite at the end of the session (this session we are reciting Colossians 3:12-17).

Once we’ve finished our recitation our teacher gives us any updates we need to know about the studio or an upcoming show. We are currently preparing for our annual June show! I’m so excited for this opportunity to spread the good news of God’s Word to those who may not have heard it before or have taken anything from it. We are performing in a community that is currently in a bit of a dark place, so I’m excited to see what Christ has planned through our performance!

With all updates out of the way, it’s time to get down to business. Most of the class is spent rehearsing our pieces for the show during this time. So far my company is performing four performances, one of which is in the works of finishing up with choreographing.

Towards the end of class our teacher sometimes has us stretch out our splits, and that’s it for class!

Once I get home it’s another mad rush because I have to get my chores done, get a shower, and get dinner before it’s time for youth group.

Youth group ends around 8:30, and then the rest of the night is spent relaxing.

Before bed I like to read a book (I’m currently reading Flashback by Shannon Messenger. Who else is super excited for the new Keeper of the Lost Cities book this fall? :D), sketch, or work on planning for future blog posts.

And there you have it! I hope this helped you get to know me a bit better and get a little glimpse of what it is like to be a dancer!

Before you go, I’ve decided to do a poll this month for future posts. I would super duper appreciate it if you would take the poll and cast in your votes for what you would like to see upcoming on my blog! I love hearing feedback from you!

Until next time…

Do you participate in any sports?

Happy Mother’s Day! {Honor Thy Mother Tag}

Hello everyone, and Happy Mother’s Day!

I’ve been trying to stick to a schedule of posting every Friday, but I decided I will be doing some “surprise” posts every now and then. This is one of those posts!

I was not nominated for this tag, however, I thought it was so fitting for Mother’s Day, I just had to do it!

Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you to participate.

2. Link back to the original post.

3. Use the original featured image.

4. Copy and paste the meaning of this tag into your post.

5. Answer the questions.

6. Nominate one or more people to participate.

7. Enjoy the rest of your month!

Now I would like to thank myself for nominating myself to do this tag. XD

You can find the original post >HERE<

I did not include the original featured image (#rebel) because I couldn’t paste it into my document and I just wanted to be careful just in case it was copyrighted.

The Meaning of this Tag:

A mother is someone who loves her child unconditionally, nourishes them, protects them always, teaches them values, disciplines them fairly, and wants the best for them. For that, we should always, ALWAYS have respect for our mothers. They are designed to bring beautiful life into this world and nurture that precious life as God created them to. Mother’s Day is about reminding your mother how much you appreciate her, but I hope this tag will perhaps remind you this month how blessed you are to have a mother at all.

Now, I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea about this tag. Trust me, I study psychology in college currently and I know there is no perfect relationship with a parent. If you have been abused, neglected, or abandoned by your mother then you probably will not enjoy the idea of honoring her. And you know what? There is nothing wrong with how you feel. She hurt you, and that hurt may never go away depending on how severe it was. Your mother may be an addict, a narcissist, an abuser, a cheater, a liar…the list goes on and on. I am blessed to have the mother I have, because I think of her as pretty close to perfect, but many are not as blessed as I have been.

However, (I know, that’s never a fun word to hear), we are called to honor our mothers. For me, that’s easy. My mother is my best friend and is the most amazing person in existence besides Jesus in my mind. Honoring her is the least I can do for everything she has been through, everything she has sacrificed, and everything she does daily to be the incredible person and mother she is.

But, like I said before, many don’t feel that way about their mothers and the last thing they may want to do is call their mom, send her a card, or give her a present for simply giving birth to them. (Trust me, I have a step-mother and two grandmothers I don’t speak to). So…how does one honor their mother in that case?

Pray for her. What she did or didn’t do in childhood has many ramifications, many of which you may live daily, and exposing yourself to her abuse for the sake of Mother’s Day is not a good idea and I don’t encourage it. What I have learned from dealing with other family members is that it’s okay to love and honor someone from afar. It’s better to learn to love and forgive someone from a distance than to hate and hurt up close.  Don’t be ashamed for doing that. Honoring someone does not mean letting them hurt you anymore. Just say, “Thank you for being in my life as God willed it, I forgive you for what you’ve done, but I am going to love you and honor you from a safe distance.”

May I share some words of encouragement? I know it may make this tag a bit long, but I feel like there’s someone that needs to hear this:

Your mother wasn’t kind to you, but that does not mean you are not worthy of kindness.

Your mother wasn’t there for you, but that does not mean no one ever will be.

Your mother abused you, but that does not mean you deserved it.

Your mother lies, but that does not mean you don’t know the truth.

Your mother manipulates, but that does not mean you can’t get control back in your life.

Your mother loved you as she was capable of loving you, but God loves you unconditionally and will give you the love she was unable to give.

Honor your mother, whether it’s through a simple prayer or a sweet gift on Mother’s Day. If you can’t do it for her, do it for you. And, if you believe in Him, do it for Him.

The Questions

1. What is your relationship like with your birth mother, if anything at all?

My mom and I sometimes bicker and fight (mainly because I’m a miniature of her XD), but she is always there for me no matter what. She sacrifices her time and happiness to provide for her family without a second thought. I’m so thankful to have such a loving mother! ❤

2. What is one thing you would change about your birth mother if you could? What is one thing you wouldn’t change?

One thing I would change about my mom would be how much she sacrifices for us. I appreciate her sacrifices so much, but I wish she had more time to herself where she could go see her friends, treat herself, and just relax.

3. Who do you celebrate on Mother’s Day (your mother, step-mother, grandmother, aunt, etc.)?

I celebrate my grandmothers on both sides of my family, and my mother.

4. What was the most valuable thing she taught you?

Man, my mom has taught me so many valuable things! Out of them all I think the most valuable have been to love Jesus above everyone and everything else, to treat my body with kindness because I am God’s temple, and to strive for my dreams and be the best I can be! Oh and to make sure she has the best nursing home when she gets older. XD

5. What is one thing she does (did) that you would never do?

In the medical field she deals with all kinds of messy and gory scenes that I DEFINITELY couldn’t handle!

6. How do you honor her on Mother’s Day?

I make her a gift, usually make her breakfast (depending on time), go to church with her, and spend as much time with her as possible!

7. How has your relationship with her impacted the person/parent you are today?

My mom has definitely shaped me into being a kinder person and has helped me to strive to reflect God’s love and be a light to others. My mom is an incredible role model for me and I’m so thankful for her!

I’m nominating:

Anyone else who wants to do this tag is welcome! Send me a link in the comments if you do! I’d love to check it out!

Tell your mothers thank you for everything they do and sacrifice every day!

What did you do for Mother’s Day?

Spring Photography

Recently my family and I went to our local hardware and gardening store to pick some plants for our landscape. While we were there I found some BEAUTIFUL flowers and plants! It reminded me of God’s beautiful creation, and I wanted to share that with all of you!

Okay if anyone knows what these are called, let me know in the comments! I thought they were so neat!

Okay so here’s a little fact about me: I am absolutely OBSESSED with succulents! I find them to be so stinking adorable! Anyone with me? XD

EEEEEKKKK!!! If you can’t tell what I’m screaming at, it’s the slight bokeh in the bottom left corner of this photo. YAYAYAY!

This wasn’t the best photo I’d taken (since it was in the shade), but I thought this flower was soooo pretty! I believe it is a lily or a lily hybrid?

Does this plant make anyone else think of the 60s-hippy-tie-dye era? XD

Song of Solomon 2:11-12: For behold the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land

Hosea 6:3: Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.

Zechariah 10:1: Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone

Genesis 1:14: Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.

What are your favorite flowers/plants?

Which was your favorite photo?

Finishing Homework Quickly and Effectively

Hello lovelies!

Summer is approaching, which means nicer weather, longer hours, and the increasing pressure to complete school.

I know for myself personally, this time of the year is honestly the most stressful. We all just want to be DONE with school. Whether you’re homeschooled like I am or in a public or private school system, we all know we are rushing to finish.

But when we are rushing to complete our homework, are we actually doing it effectively?

This week I’ve decided to share some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned for finishing homework quickly, while still engraving the information in your brain.

1) Make lists

I have found that lists are incredibly helpful! Seeing an overview of everything I need to complete helps me to:

  1. Analyze what all I need to complete in a block of time.
  2. (In the case if I am going anywhere during the day) Determine what I need to complete at home (online homework or projects typically) and what I can complete on the road.
  3. Keep on track and focused.

Plus, we all know how satisfying it is to check something off a checklist. It makes us feel like we actually accomplished something in our day!

Typically after I list my homework, I put a number beside each task in consecutive order so I know what order I am planning on completing them. Every day honestly varies and depends on what activities I have going on.

2) Hard-Easy-Hard Method

I honestly made up this method one day when I was in a mad rush to finish school before dance class. I was looking over my to-do list, fully knowing I wouldn’t be able to finish all of my schoolwork before class.

Typically after dance I am exhausted, and don’t have much brain-power left, so I asked myself, “What subject(s) would be the easiest to complete?”.

Here is how this method works:

  1. Look over your to-do list. Single out all of your harder subjects.
  2. Start with your hardest or least enjoyable lesson. Most times we want to procrastinate and put that subject off to last because we dislike it, but if you start off with that subject first the rest will be a breeze. You will also most likely have more brain-power to complete that subject right off the bat rather than if it was put off til last.
  3. If you are able to get through the lesson within a reasonable time (but not rushing through without learning!), continue through the lesson. If you are struggling to focus, or are taking much longer than needed, stop. Pause on that lesson. Look over your list and find an easier lesson, complete it, and then come back to your first lesson. You will feel much more refreshed after having completed something. Don’t be afraid to take it in chunks.
  4. Go through your list starting with your hardest lesson, then an easy lesson, and another hard lesson, etc.

3) Take small breaks

When you feel like you are struggling or beginning to slow down, don’t be afraid to take a break.

Walk around and stretch your legs.

Grab a snack.

Make a cup of tea or coffee.

Do whatever keeps you moving, but don’t let your break surpass ten minutes. It will be harder to get back into a steady learning pace and you will most likely find yourself procrastinating and wasting time.

4) Eliminate Distractions

According to this post, it takes about 25 minutes to regain concentration after being distracted.

25 minutes!

That’s 25 minutes less that you could have spent completing a task.

25 minutes less that you could have spent with your family and friends.

25 minutes less you could have been doing something you love.

You get my point..

Now you may be asking, “Saege, didn’t you advise for us to take breaks?”.

There is a major difference between a distraction and a break. A distraction takes place during your task, whereas a break is taken once the task is complete.

The worst thing you can do while studying is check your phone, stare outside, daydream, etc. Don’t do it. Trust me you will thank me for ranting later. XD

5) Set a goal time to finish

For myself, setting a goal time to finish my schoolwork motivates me to achieve and work towards that goal.

Setting a time all depends on your schedule and how you work personally. Give yourself enough time to completely study and take breaks, but don’t give yourself too much time. It’s fine to give yourself enough breathing room for time, but you still want to push yourself!

To wrap up this post I would like to give a reminder. Never ever ever ever ever ever EVER, rush to complete your homework without completely understanding and learning the material. It is way more worth your while to take your time and understand everything rather than speed through and get bad grades.

I hope this post helps motivate you and inspire you to use your time to the fullest! You’re almost there! Summer is almost here!

Welcome to my blog!

Hello! Welcome to my humble corner of the internet!

I’m Saege Edevane, the “mastermind” behind the computer screen, with an arsenal of hobbies and passions ready to share with you! 🙂

First, let me help you get to know me a bit better!

Among many things I cherish dearly, I have a passion for writing and a need for reading.

I developed a love for reading in 1st grade when I first started reading the Harry Potter series (Ravenclaw for Life!). Over the years, my favorite genres have been fantasy, sci-fi, and historical fiction. One of my goals for this year is to broaden my reading resume and try reading new books and genres.

Some of my favorite books/books series are:

The Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

The Penderwicks series by Jeanne Birdsall

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

I’m always looking for new books to read, so if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear from you!

From there my love for books has deepened, and has even inspired me to embark on my own writing journey. One of my favorite things about writing is the way I can connect to my characters, almost as if they were real people, and get to experience life through their eyes.

Apart from spending unhealthy amounts of time tucked away in a world of books, and fantasizing publishing my own books, I adore gardening!

I recently got into gardening this past year, after having been inspired by a close friend housing 80 plants! I wanted to be able to provide for my family with various vegetables and herbs, while also being able to watch God’s work bloom!

I currently own an indoor hydroponic garden, as well as other scattered plants. As spring is approaching, I hope to increase my garden as well as my skills in gardening, with spring approaching.

I am a dancer, studying in ballet and mixed forms of contemporary and modern. I have danced on and off since a young age, but I have just recently become serious about it this past year. I’m definitely not the best dancer, but I hope to push myself this year by making new goals to reach towards! 🙂

I have been playing the piano for about a year and a half now. Hopefully someday I will be able to share some of what I have learned with you all. Until then, keep a look out! 😉

I am a Christian, and though I’m far from perfect, I can be at peace knowing that I am loved by my Heavenly Father and nothing can separate me from Him no matter how much I mess up. If you ever have any questions about my faith, let me know! I would love to talk to you! 🙂

My goal for this blog is to share some of my interests, journeys, and to be a positive influence to those who come my way. Keep looking out for new content coming out soon! I can’t wait to embark on this adventure with you!

Do you have any special hobbies? What do you want to see from this blog?
